Although we found the hotel quite basic, this is a refelcted in the price, so no complaints. We only booked this hotel as a sleepover following a one-day trip to Barcelona. However, if you do stay at this hotel, DO NOT LEAVE YOUR BAGS UNATTENDED FOR A SECOND!!! You may find theives sitting in lobby, pretending to be guests. The moment you stand to have a quick word with receptionist, you can be sure that the chap in a baseball cap and/or sunglasses who was sitting on the reception sofa next to you, would have disappeared with your hand bag or briefcase. It happened to us. And it took the receptionist 20 minutes of our ranting before they bothered to call the police. Don't count on the security cameras to be working either! Read Less

No frills hotel which does the job. Staff were fairly miserable but didn't really speak to them anyway. Rooms were decent for the price. Not the kind of hotel to chill out in for few hours so we just got up and left for the day. Location is ok and 5 mins to metro which i highly recommend. There isnt much nearby in walking distance. Overall, for the price we paid, it is quite good but if you want a relaxing holiday then i would stay somewhere else because you need to be up and out all day and evening. Read Less

The hotel was located really close to the metro and was therefore easy to get into Barcelona. It was a bit hilly as it was more in the mountain region but it wasn't too bad. There was a taxi rank very close to the hotel as well as a bus stop but we tended to opt for the metro to get about as it was so easy. Quick tip: If you do go on the metro cross the bridge and go left (you will need to cross the road!) follow the path down the hill and the metro is right there, you can't miss it. We went around several of the metro's before we found this one, seriously reduces hill climbing!!
Although the hotel was good value (ie. cheap!) the staff were not at all friendly apart from the guy that fixed our door and the cleaning ladies. The receptionists were particularly unfriendly even when you tried to use a little bit of Spanish. I took to saying hello to them every time i went past the reception just so they had to pretend to be a little bit friendly (amused me if nothing else!) I would stay there again but I would not recomend the food for anything other than breakfast.
All in all though, Barcelona is an amazing place and if you want to stay somewhere a little bit out of town (or like us, you can't afford to spend so much on a hotel or are booking last minute) its not a bad place. Clean and nice shower etc.. Read Less
