I booked this hotel because of its convenient location for my needs, but with a few concerns after reading some of the comments here. I have to say that both positive and negative comments were correct. I asked for a quiet room and was given one on a floor not being used by student parties, but even so, I was woken one night (out of 4) at 2 in the morning by some loud American students. Although my room overlooked the main road, it was reasonably well insulated from the traffic noise and beautifully fitted out, with a very comfortable bed and a glazed balcony. The staff were good-humoured and the breakfast buffet was excellent. And the rail connection to the airport is a bonus. I'd be happy to stay here again if travelling to Barcelona.

The bedroom was VERY small and had no tea or coffee making facilities. Although the staff could speak English, it was very difficult to communicate with the majority of people. The hotel is situated just across the road from the meteor which is very handy and it is wise to buy a ticket which gives up to ten journeys on the meteor as it will save alot of money and can be used by more than one person. It cost €35 from the airport by Taxi to get to the hotel as the hotel is a good bit out of the centre of town and there is basically nothing to do around the area of the hotel. In all the hotel was grand, but the pictures on the websites does it more juistic.

No Car Parking available, very difficult to get a space for car in surrounding streets, no public car park close by. The breakfast was superb. All staff very friendly. Found out that there was a much cheaper offer available directly from the Hotel when we checked out!!!

good standard hotel, modern & clean, some rooms abit on small side. breakfast was excellent, very good choice. location better than anticpated, although not alot around, metro station across road, so very easy to get around city. Would reccommend to others.

Generally good for that price range; but a few minor quibbles- why no tea/coffee making facilities in the room? Maybe this is not a Spanish "thing", but would have made a world of difference to early morning comfort. Lifts to top floors sometimes seem to take forever; also a big diappointment , on late evening arrival finding out that whereas food was no longer available in the restaurant at 11.00pm (fair enough, but that we could get hot sandwitches in the bar) but in the bar, that was not the case, despite their own written notice saying that they were available. Not good, when on arrival in a srange city late evening, with uncashed travellers cheques, to have to go a bar across the road, to search out Tapas, because a 4 star hotel, would/could not provide any hot food at 11.00pm. Finally, why can't this hotel change traveller's cheques? Contrary to what they may tell you, the nearest bank that will is not next door, but some 2 miles away in the city centre.
