The staff on reception and the Breakfast room were very polite at all times and made us feel welcome from the beginning. Our room was a little dissapointing because work was being done on the outside of the hotel which meant that it was swathed in scaffolding and proteactive tarpaulin so there was no view which was a shame because it was such an interesting street, or very much natural light. However, it was very clean and we didn't really spend that much time in it. The location was absolutely fantastic - slap bang in the middle of town which meant that we could walk everywhere. We took a taxi from the airport which cost 28 euros but got the airport bus back from the Plaza Catalunia, just outside of El Corte Ingles . This cost us 9 euros . These buses are great - They run every 6 minutes, take 35 minutes to get to the airport and don't get over crowded. The driver has some sort of electronic system to tell him how much luggage has been taken on so when that has reached it's limit, he sets off. If we'd known the exact location of the hotel, we would certainly have used it to get into town. All in all, this was one of the best hotels we have stayed in in Barcelona and we have visited 6 times in all. There is some improvement work in the patio area at the back of the hotel which, although was not yet completed, was not intrusive and will only add the charms of the place when finished. I'm glad we chose this one - it was a good gamble! More >> |

This Hotel was great for me. It has a great location with easy access to everything. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Barcelona. There is a little bit of work being done on the hotel at the moment but other than that it was fantastic. More >> |

| Fantastic location, 2 minute walk airport bus stop, sightseeing bus, and La Rambla. Everything you need is on the door step of the hotel. Will definately choose Hotel Catalonia Albinoni for my next visit to Barcelona. |

We were very astonished, when in Hotel Albinoni they had no room for us and translated us,1km by foot, to another Hotel of this chain, to Catalonia-Ramblas.But there in the end all was really perfect and we had a nice stay.
Nevertheless that should'nt happen.Only to tell you.Sincerely Guenter Ramme. More >> |

Our hotel room overlooked the main shopping street which runs parallel to La Ramblas. It was excellent looking out of the window at the street entertainers below. Once the window was closed very little of the street noise intruded on the room. The breakfast was very good and the gazebo type room was nice light and airy. An excellent choice of hotel if you want to be very central. Easy access to the metro and easy walking to the harbour, laRamblas and Casa Batio (Gaudi) More >> |

The Albinoni Catalonia Hotel is a very nice hotel. Its clean and the rooms are serviced daily, the staff are lovely and very helpful. The location of this hotel is fantastic, its located on a beautiful street where all the nicest shops are. The Ramblas are a 2 minute walk away.
When we return to barcelona we will definitly return to this hotel but we will remember to bring a travel iron as there arent any supplied in the hotel, but thats only minor.

This hotel was excellent for a break in Barcelona. Only a few minutes walk from Catalunya Square it was ideal for exploring the whole city. The hotel was efficient, had extremely clean rooms, good buffet breakfast and centred around a lovely old staircase which gave the hotel some character. I would recommend the hotel if asked. A very nice hotel to stay at, right in the city centre and close to every amenity and shops and clubs. However, my one criticism would be the lack of price display for the mini bar which thankfully we didn't use too often as the prices were extortionate and were I'm sure, a nasty surprise for other visitors to the hotel, on settling their bills. Great hotel, excellent central location but without the noise, although expect to be awake by 8am if you have a front facing room due to delivery vans. Helpful staff and room very clean. If I had to find a bad point it would only be the noise from the air con unit, however it can be lived with. More >> |
