If you are going to Barcelona for more than 5 days, I would thoroughly recommend Aparthotel Napols. Me and my girlfriend wet for 6 days and we found that because we had an apartment rather than a hotel room, we had a lot more independence and freedom. Don't know about you, but I have never managed to get up in time for the hotel breakfasts. This is where the benefit of having an apartment comes into its own. There is a supermarket and a bakery across the road, so we could brew our own coffee, have fresh pastries and listen to our own music or watch TV in our living room before going out around the city. The Napols is located 2 mins walk from the bus station Nord, which serves Girona Airport. Arc de Triomphe Metro is 3 mins away. La Ramblas about 15-20 mins. The hotel is not 100% perfect. We found there was a little bit of noise from the adjoining apartments, but nothing major. Like living in an apartment complex really. Otherwise thouroughly recommended Apartments are the future... Napols was a great place to stay - more like having a one bed flat, than staying in a hotel, which for 4 days was perfect. I personally like the freedom of this, and not be restricted by breakfast times etc. Location was good - walked virtually everywhere, although it would have been good to know how near to the coach station it was - handy, but only by pure chance. In a nice quiet area, but a good 20min walk from La Ramla/Old Town, which should be considered if you want to be in the thick of it....
