Superb location - just off the Ramblas. Our standard room was large and very comfortable with some modern features to disguise the rather dated dark wood fixtures. Bedding and towels were changed everyday. The bathroom had marble and new chrome fittings with a separate lavatory and bidet. Breakfast was plentiful with a wide choice of fruit, breads, cold meat, cheese, cakes and the usual hot buffet. The front desk staff were very efficient and friendly. We enjoyed our stay at the Silken Ramblas (formerly the Ambassador) and will stay there again.

Lovely hotel - very well situated for sightseeing and cafes, restaurants etc. but a bit noisy. No noise from outside but from nearby rooms it was quite loud- plumbing -hairdryers -voices etc. Despite this we would stay again as the room was very spacious and the bed very comfortable!

This hotel was very warm and comfortable and very central. I would have liked a tea making facility in the room. Also I would like to warn people about scams and my advice is don't stop on the street for anyone who asks you a question otherwise you might have less money than before you stopped. Awful unfriendly I know but that's society these days.

My wife and I stayed for one night at the La Rambla Silken hotel in Barcelona after a cruise. Not only we were allowed to check in early, the hotel staff upgraded us to a junior suite. The extra space was much appreciated after 12 nights in a tiny stateroom. The staff were very accommodating to provide electric adaptor and fix a noise issue so we had a wonderful and quiet stay at the hotel. This hotel is in a perfect location close to the historic La Rambla area. I would stay there again, especially after the current renovation.

Very central location - just yards off the Ramblas but the room we had was quiet. We got a suite which was great! My girl has told me to say that hotels need to put plug sockets near the mirrors so that straightners can be used. Breakfast was excellent and the staff on reception were first class. The roof pool was always busy and cold!!!!!! We would definitely use this hotel again. Any faults were minor.

The hotel is situauted only 100m from Las Ramblas. The rooftop terrace and pool provide an excellent retreat to just relax and soak up the sun. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I would return to this hotel and would recommend it to others.

This hotel is centrally located and was very good value for money. Rooms are big, showers are powerful and the roof terrace is a nice little sun trap! Also found the rooms to be sound and light proof in the night. Only complaint would be that our room didn't have very good light for getting ready in the evenings.
