rooms were filthy, dust everywhere, stains all over bed base, bathroom never cleaned properly, tea cups never cleaned. rooms cleaned NOT at 3pm way to late. waited over i hour for dinner to be served in resturant & food burnt & really expensive. NOT NOT 5 star hotel. very very disappointing & not recommended.

very nice apartment even though we booked into the hotel the said it was an upgrade but im not so sure about that i think they were suiting themselves by not having us having to use the hotels main door but it was the dam so dont rememer much more

i HAD PREVIOUSLY STAYED IN THE BARBIZON PALACE AND THOUGHT I WOULD TRY THE GRAND KRASNAPOLSKY FOR A CHANGE. WHEN YOU WALK IN IT IS LOVELY. THE DINING AREA WHERE WE HAD BREAKFAST WAS FANTASTIC, AS WAS THE BUFFET BREAKFAST. HOWEVER, DESPITE THE GRANDEUR I FELT THE ROOMS WERE NOT AS NICE AS THE BARBIZON PALACE. DESPITE REQUESTING A SMOKING ROOM I WAS INITIALLY PUT INTO A NON-SMOKING ROOM, WHICH WAS QUITE A TACKY ROOM - POOR QUALITY FURNITURE - HOWEVER THE STAFF MOVED ME VERY PROMPTLY TO A SMOKING ROOM WHICH WAS FAR BETTER QUALITY. ALL IN ALL, I WOULD RECOMMEND THE BARBIZON PALACE MORE THAN GRAND KRASNAPOLSKY HOWEVER I DID HAVE A VERY ENJOYABLE STAY.

we where pleasantly surprised at the location of our hotel, the srevice was top notch, the standard room was just as expected, clean, all toiletries provided, if you forget anything the housekeeping will provide anything for you. flat screen tv, mini bar,trouser press, again if u need an ironing board and iron, just phone housekeeping!!! we arrived four and a half hours before checkin, but the receptionist booked us in without us having to ask. we had breakfast included when we booked, but it was well worth it. the room makes you feel you are in a garden, everything you can think of was available to all. american,german, english, champagne, fresh fruit, all herb teas, everything. the waitress' and waiters cater for all your needs. hoel bar a bit pricey, 40 euros for a bottle of house red, though verypleasant and does get busy. we went as a couple, we spent £700, mon to thurs. but i would say well owrth it, we will definatley go back to amsterdam, and the hotel, next time we will experience the 'royal suites' !!!!!

Great Hotel, Great Location, Great Room. Internal room with no view but not a problem. graeat price £109 per night B&B double. Stayed in many amsterdam hotels and this is one of the best with a great berakfast. Would stay again if this price was available.
