This hotel downstairs is a restaurant, a very good one at that! When I first saw it I thought oh dear god im not staying here, but inside it is really nice. The room was clean, housekeeping every day, the only thing I missed was a kettle in the room. Every time we went in though, we just asked for cups of boiling water to take upstairs as we'd brought our own tea and biscuits! Bit tricky in a lift, but its ok. Right accross the road is the Grasshopper cafe, theres souvenir shops and on a night you can't hear any noise (im very fussy about noise) but only about 4 streets away is the red light district and all the cafes and bars. Highly recemmended, i'll be going back later on in the summer. x

Good morning to you, sorry it has been so long before I got back to you. We had a wonderful time in Amsterdam, your hotel is well located, nice and central. It is also very helpful and friendly, especially all the evening staff and the Manager who is in charge of them, really good bunch of people. The room was rather dingy but we didn't have to be in it that much. When we went down to breakfast the breakfast staff did not bother to put a serviette on the table and didn't even come and ask what we wanted to drink - I had to always go and ask somebody for attention, they were very dosey in the mornings but the staff during the day and the evening were absolutely marvellous, couldn't fault them and we would certainly stay in your establishment again, the food was good and we had 10% off too - can't be bad. Sorry about the morning staff but they did not care very much, totally different from the staff later on during the day who certainly were on the ball and did care a lot. As I have already said, we would come to see you again and very many thanks for the cheerfulness of the staff when having our evening meals, lovely - many thanks again and will probably come again later on in the year - Drusilla Forsdick and Eric King - 26/01/2007.
