Although I enjoyed my stay in Alicante, I am not sure that I would stay at the same hotel. The room was at the rear of the hotel and was very dark with not much natural light. The room was clean apart from foot prints on the walls. The Breakfast offered was limited and the hot drinks served were at the least "warm". On the plus side, the hotel is in the perfect location for exploring the city of Alicante. Read Less

Only one thing spoilt our stay and that was people in the next room (508) was talking and watching t/v until 02.00 in the morning as we were only there for four nights we did not complain, but it would make us think twice about returning to what I thought was excellent value for money. Read Less

The hotels central location was excellent (especially for 9 guys on a stag weekend). We weren't that rowdy, honest. The nightlife was across the road and the harbour was about 100metres away with many bars overlooking it. The wide, sandy beech was no more than 300metres away.
The hotel itself had a small entrance hall with 24 hour reception leading directly to the lift. The rooms were fairly large, clean, and modern. The rooms had Spanish TV, mini-bar, hairdryer but no iron - much to Steady's disapointment. Do not expect a scenic view if your are at the back of the hotel. It was very quiet though.
l didn't see any sprawling hotels like you would see in many Balearic and Canary islands. Alicante is very much like an inland city centre. I can't comment on its culture too much for obvious reasons. It was a friendly place even though few people spoke English (maybe spending large amounts in their bars helped).
Overall Hotel Rambla served its purpose. Small, fairly basic but with an excellent location. Read Less
