We stayed in early february 2009 when Alicante was not at it's busiest and it the Hotel was quiet and peaceful, however, as it is in a Plaza that is used as a cut-through from the sea-front towards the centre of town it would be adviseable to check on any local Carnivals etc. taking place when you intend to stay, as your sleep might be interupted!, alternatively, you could join in the fun! Check in was a breeze considering we arrived at 1am. Hotel staff were very friendly, and had good local advice. We had a triple room, and it was very spacious and clean. Location is excellent you are in the middle of the city, a 5 min walk from a great beach. Restaurants are also at your doorstep. Only negatives of this hotel, was the room was quite noisy as it is opposite the city Town Hall, so the bells rang hourly (very early), and on the Sat there were weddings every half hour. However, for a weekend trip I can highly recommend this hotel. << click here to read less

More of a 3 star than a 4 star; no swimming pool; no bar area. Hotel is situated by Town Hall and the area is VERY noisy. Town Hall clock chimes LOUDLY every 15 minutes until midnight. Weekend revellers shout and scream until 5am! so no sleep is possible. On the plus side, it is well located for the harbour, beach and city attractions. Would I stay there again? No. << click here to read less
